Concerned about a dry turkey this holiday? Here is a simple trick to guarantee a tender moist turkey.
We have been doing this for over 10 years now, and it always delivers a melt off the bone, moist, and tender turkey.
The process?
Simply add another pan of water in the oven.
That’s it.
If you have a large oven and can handle a second rack for a slim pan of water then perfect, you’re set. However some ovens are no bigger than the Turkey placed within, so another way to use this trick is to fill up a couple of empty cans with water and simply place them in the back corners of the oven.
Remember that regular basting should still be a part of your process.
While I would love to give credit where credit is due, I have forgotten who gave me this tip and researching this online doesn’t produce any origins either.
This procedure likely creates a steaming effect within the oven, but this is just my guess. So follow this simple tip for a juicy, moist and tender turkey this holiday! Feel free to comment your thoughts on this effect and give it a try.
